About Zeus AI
Zeus AI is developing a Vision-Language-Action agent capable of: understanding device screens through vision; reasoning with large language models; executing actions across apps; running both server-side AI models and on-device intelligence. Our focus is building agent-native computing, where AI can directly operate software across devices.
The Role
We are looking for a Founding AI Engineer / ML Researcher to help build the core intelligence behind Zeus. You will work on Vision-Language-Action models and on-device LLM systems that allow AI agents to interact with real software environments. This is a founding-level role with the potential to grow into CTO or Chief Scientist as the company scales.
Responsibilities
- Vision-Language-Action Models
- Develop models combining vision, language, and actions
- Train agents to understand mobile UI and app interactions
- Build systems capable of multi-step task execution
- Model Training
- Train and fine-tune LLMs and multimodal models
- Develop pipelines for: imitation learning, synthetic data generation, agent training
- On-Device AI
- Optimize models for mobile inference
- Work on quantization, distillation, and model compression
- Deploy models for on-device LLM runtime
- Research
- Explore architectures for agentic AI systems
- Prototype and evaluate new approaches to mobile AI agents
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience or a machine learning PhD
- Strong experience with PyTorch or other deep learning frameworks
- Experience with LLMs, VLMs, or multimodal models
- Strong understanding of transformers and modern ML architectures
- Passion for building AI systems that interact with real software
- Familiar with GUI agents
